Her first EP was released in May 2014 and earned her a nomination for the Sirius XM Indies Award “Emerging French Artist of the Year”. Her first full length album “Les aurores boréales” was released in 2016. Geneviève’s songs have charted in many radio stations in Québec (Radio-Canada - Country, Radio-Canada - Chanson pop, Sirius XM Influence Franco, CKVL, CISM, CIBL.) In 2017, she toured Québec as the opening act for acclaimed singer-songwriter Valérie Carpentier. That spring, Geneviève was chosen among 150 singer-songwriters to participate in a residency at the Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity to work on her songs with some of the most renowned songwriters in Nashville. Following a busy summer touring the province of Québec on ROSEQ’s “Découverte” Tour, Geneviève Racette launched a new EP “Covers” on October 6th, 2017.
Her new bilingual album No Water, No Flowers was met by tremendous industry support including features within a number of Spotify editorial playlists (Folk & Friends, Acoustic Cafe International, Bon matin, Café montréalais, Nouveautés de la semaine Canada, Femmes incandescentes, Fresh Finds Franco, Down Home Country), chosen as the cover photo for Spotify’s Folk & Friends playlist, receiving over 390,000 Spotify streams and counting, charting in the top 10 on Radio-Canada Chansons Sirius XM, included in a number of Amazon Music’s playlists (Nouveautés, Fresh Pop, Girl Squad, Brand New Music), Apple Music featuring her within their ‘Best of the Week’ playlist and more
